What We Do

The DDF is an agency of the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton, which covers an area of 414,385 square kilometres, from Mackay down to Bundaberg on the east coast and west to the Northern Territory border.

The DDF functions with the support of Catholic entities that operate within the Diocese, including Parishes, Religious Institutes, Catholic works, and Diocesan agencies such as Diocesan Catholic Education and CentacareCQ. These entities support the DDF by investing funds, in exchange for which they receive a competitive rate of interest.

Using the funds invested in it, the DDF is able to make loans to Catholic entities to assist them in fulfilling their mission, in exchange for a competitive rate of interest. Loans are subject to application and assessment against a number of criteria.
